• 214-586-0999 Added by Amanda They were going to deposit $3,500 into my checking account. It was a grant that some people are receiving. They have been contacting me for the past three months every two weeks. I have numerous seven digit codes that these people have given me. The phone number that I received in case I did not receive the money went to an insurance agency. That was the funny part. And on top of that, as soon as I received the money, I was to leave almost $30 in my account for an one time payment. They had me go through a confirmation questionnaire.
• 866-300-0864 Added by Confused They called my work cell phone that is listed as a contract cell phone through my employer and is only tied to me in house. They asked for my husband, by name! When I asked who it was and how they got this number, I was told "don't worry, we don't have any personal information". I asked again and was told the same thing. The third time I asked, they hung up. I have tried to call it back, but only get a busy signal. Concerns me they have my name associated with my phone since that is confidential!

• 314-898-8422 Added by mo This is a political campaign call from Lt.Gov Michael Carter. The message directs you to his website, where you can sign up for his "Do Not Call" list, this is about the 5th time he's called me. I guess I need to go opt out.

This is the 3rd phone number I've had to get in the past month because of this. People ditch their phone numebrs when debt collectors find it....then people like me have to hound these calls.

I'm pretty sure this is a telemarketer since they didn't sound like a debt collector. Anyone have som info?

I'm not sure how they got my number...it is either random or I may have filled something out online. I wish we could have throw away numbers that are good for one use. Kinda like single use credit cards that are becoming popular these days.
